The American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) is a non-profit 501(c)(6) company representing more than 100,000 Massage Therapists nationwide. Our Colorado Chapter proudly supports over 1,900 members practicing in the State of Colorado. Our Chapter provides:

Exceptional continuing education opportunities two (2) times each year

Encourages networking and social opportunities

Fosters an awareness of legislative changes and requirements within our profession

Strives to educate our communities about the benefits of receiving skilled massage

At the Colorado Capital

Your AMTA Colorado Chapter is looking for volunteers to provide complimentary chair massage for legislators and their staff at the Colorado State Capitol in Denver on Friday March 22, 2024. Set up will be finished by 7:30am and the event will run from 8:00am to 1pm. You can do any 2 hour increments or the whole time. All massage therapists participating MUST be licensed. Students are not permitted to participate.

This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate to Colorado legislators firsthand what massage therapy is all about and show them who we are as a community.

For most of our events volunteers can charge for their massages!

It’s almost election time!!

The Colorado AMTA Chapter has several positions coming available: President, 1 Board member, Secretary and 1 Delegate. Call for Candidates happens soon. If you have any questions on running for a position, please contact Hailey at elections@amtacolorado.com

Important deadlines for Election Year 2024:

  • March 2, 2024: Begin accepting nominations (including self-nominations) for open positions.
  • April 1, 2024: Final due date for applicants who wish to run for office.
  • April 19, 2024: Election opens and ballots are sent to voters.
  • April 29, 2024: Election closes.  Ballots are tabulated.
  • May 4, 2024: Announce election results at the AMTA Colorado Chapter’s Annual Meeting in Westminster, Colorado.
